NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — A sheriff says the failure of Virginia deputies to adhere to standard policies and processes did not result in the demise of a teen who killed himself in a court docket developing.
Norfolk Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Karen Pinkston tells The Virginian-Pilot an internal investigation into 17-calendar year-aged Katrell Jaymar Washington’s demise observed deputies failed to adhere to needed tactics but failed to impact Washington.
