‘I do not know how I’m likely to go on’
The father of a Nebraska teenager who was killed in a triple homicide this week claimed he kissed his daughter goodbye just a day right before her death, but he never believed it would be his previous time seeing her.
Leonna Dalton-Phillip, 18, died Tuesday evening following remaining shot alongside with her grandparents — 70-calendar year-aged John Dalton and 65-calendar year-aged Jean Dalton — at their household in Omaha, Nebraska, authorities claimed.
“It’s tragic,” the teen’s father, Claude Phillip, informed ABC affiliate KETV in an interview on Wednesday. “I never believed I would be likely by means of this.
“We ended up just speaking about higher education on Christmas — and the future day I eliminate my daughter.”

He claimed he used Christmas Day with his daughter and dropped her off at her grandparents’ household later on in the day. She was killed at the property the future day.
“Who would have understood that when I dropped her off on Christmas and I kissed her on her forehead and informed her that I adore her and she informed me, ‘I adore you, daddy,’ she gave me a significant hug and I held her for a minute and hopped on the freeway, that would be the previous time I see my daughter alive?”
Leonna Dalton-Phillip was a senior at Burke Superior University in Omaha, where she served as the co-captain of the drill workforce. Her father explained her as a straight-A pupil who experienced “a brilliant foreseeable future.”
Police arrested the couple’s son, John W. Dalton Jr., on Wednesday afternoon on prices of to start with-diploma murder in link with the homicides, in accordance to police. Police have not explained a motive.
