Household of teenager who died in soccer log drill documents lawsuit
The relatives of a 16-year-aged boy who died when a log fell on his head throughout a preseason superior school soccer drill in suburban New York has submitted a $15 million lawsuit.
Joshua Mileto and 4 other gamers had been carrying a 400-pound log when it fell and killed him.
Newsday stories the lawsuit was submitted Wednesday and cites negligence by the Sachem Central University District and Sachem East Landing Club Inc.
A district spokeswoman states officials have not acquired a duplicate of the lawsuit. An attorney symbolizing the Landing Club has not returned calls trying to get comment.
The teenager’s Aug. 10 dying led to the removing of the superior school’s head soccer mentor and an assistant. Experts questioned the wisdom of owning teenagers execute an training designed for Navy SEALs.
